Truth and Lies — Endurance vs Speed

A lie has speed, but truth has endurance.

Thought to be by Edgar J. Mohn

Tell a lie and it spreads like wildfire to all who will hear. The more slanderous or ugly the lie the faster it seems to be fueled, growing or changing at each repeat along its path of destruction. Many are quick to hear it and accept lies as fact basing life decisions or their beliefs on unsubstantiated hearsay. Lies come and go like a tornado creating havoc and leaving a mess behind, destroying anything or any one in its path. Relationships based on lies are filled with distrust, confusion, destruction, and heartache turning hopes into shattered dreams.

YET..

TRUTH will always endure to the end. Truth is unchanging, consistent, and will stand on its own. Truth frees us from the burden of trying to recall who we told what. Deep in our souls we know Truth when we hear it. Truth is factual and stands on its own proven merit. Truth is the foundation of good character and ethical conduct. Combined with Love, Truth forms a super glue bond in any trust-worthy relationship giving hope and endurance for a lifetime..

Jesus, the greatest and most important truth of all times, has endured for over 2000 years. The story of Jesus is the same as when the disciples walked with Him. The facts have not changed. He has not changed. He was. He is. He will be.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

Have a blessed day walking with Him who gave us the only truth that genuinely counts – the eternal Truth – JESUS! May He be your standard for truth as you travel through life.
